Frequently asked questions
Each piece is handcrafted - either thrown on the wheel, or made using traditional slab building techniques - normally with a modern twist. Every single piece is then hand made and then bisque fired in my studio then second fired with the glaze, followed by a final glaze step if I gold or iridescent lustre is used.

Yes they are unless they have lustre on them which will contain a note with your item. But due to the handmade nature of every piece, they are more effected than mass produced factory ceramics so I would recommend hand washing instead.
Yes! I stock a selection of my creations at the wonderful Blue Tin Produce in Ipsden in the UK - recently featured in the Times' best UK farm shops - it's worth a visit no matter how far away you are! Please see the stockists link for more information.
No, I’m a one-woman creator with no plans to change that.
Within reason and as long as it fits in my kiln! The wilder the commission request the better - enquire here.
They're quite straight forward. You have an idea in mind and I make it happen for you with a touch or my artistic style. Treat each commission piece as a collaboration between us - the more you can tell me about your vision and how you feel about the piece, the more I can infuse it into the creation. If you have pics or sketches, do send them on over.
Each piece can take up to 4-6 weeks to create, that includes finalising your idea, throwing or building the form, illustrating any designs on the clay, painting, bisque firing, waxing (optional), glazing, and finally glaze firing. I'll update you along the way with how it's going and send photos (unless you'd just like a big reveal at the end).
Pricing varies depending on the time it will take to make and the materials required - it will be quoted during the initial conversation though so there will be no hidden surprises. Payment is due when the piece is completed and before shipment.
